Printing tips

  1. Open the PDF

Tap A4 or A5 above. It opens in your browser, ready to print.

  2. Print at actual size

In the print settings choose ‘Actual size’ or ‘100%’, not ‘Fit to page’, so A5 lists come out exactly A5.

  3. Cut and clip

For A5, cut along the dotted line – two lists from one sheet. Clip one on, and pin the spare to the fridge for next week.

Made to fit

Clip it to your trolley.

The A5 lists fit the A5 Twistaroo and the A4 lists fit the A4 – with a clear strip at the top, so the clip never covers anything. Wrap it round the handle, twist it to face you, and shop with both hands free.

Shop smarter

7 tips for a shopping list that saves money.

  1. Check the cupboards first

Look in the fridge, freezer and cupboards before you write anything. Half the battle is not buying a third jar of cumin.

  2. Plan meals, then write the list

Decide what you'll eat this week, then list the ingredients. It's the easiest way to stop food going to waste.

  3. Write it in aisle order

Group items the way your supermarket is laid out. You'll walk the shop once, in one direction, and get round faster.

  4. Add quantities

‘Tins of tomatoes’ is a guess; ‘2 tins of chopped tomatoes’ is a plan. Quantities stop you over- or under-buying.

  5. Keep a list going all week

Pin a list to the fridge and add things the moment they run out. By shopping day, it's half written.

  6. Don't shop hungry

A classic for a reason: hungry shoppers fill the trolley with extras. Eat first.

  7. Keep your list where you can see it

A list you can't see is a list you don't follow. Keep it at eye level – it's exactly why Twistaroo exists.

Questions

About the printables.

Are they really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no email address, nothing to buy. Download and print as many as you like.

Can I share them?

Please do! Share the link to this page with friends, family or your local community group, so they always get the newest versions.

Do I need a printer that takes A5 paper?

No. The A5 versions print two lists on one sheet of normal A4 paper – just cut along the dotted line.

Can I fill them in on my computer?

They're designed for pen and paper, so the lines and boxes print cleanly. If you'd like a version you can type into, email sam@twistaroo.co.uk and let us know.

Will you add more lists?

Yes – tell us what you'd like next at sam@twistaroo.co.uk.
